FIELD TRIP

Where:  Seaba Station Motorcyle Museum in Chandler

When: 8:30AM on Saturday, October 13th
Those who wish to carpool or travel in caravan should meet at POPS on Route 66 just east of Edmond at 8:30AM.  The official address for POPS is 660 W. Highway 66 in Arcadia.   The Seaba Station Motorcycle Museum opens at 10:00AM, so we will have some time to drive Route 66, stop at the Round Barn area, and do some shooting before heading to the museum.  There is no admission fee for the Motorcycle Museum, but donations are accepted.  This museum used to be a Seaba gas station along old Route 66.  Today it houses dozens of vintage motorcycles from around the world.  Tripods are allowed, but we have to be careful not to interfere with other patrons who might be visiting.  Space is fairly limited inside the museum so a monopod might be a better choice.  Lunch will be at 11:30-12:00 at the Butcher BBQ Stand in Wellston.  It is also located along Route 66 and is about a half mile west of the museum.  Butcher BBQ has won many awards for their barbeque and have been featured in several state and local publications, as well as some national tv shows.  I highly recommend trying the burnt ends.  Hope to see you there!

FIELD TRIP
Where:
  Red Rock Canyon State Park
When: Saturday, Nov. 3rd
We will meet in the parking lot of the Will Rogers Garden Center at 7:00AM.  Red Rock Canyon is about a 45 minute drive from Oklahoma City and the sun doesn't start getting into the canyon until around 8:00AM so we should be right on time.  Red Rock Canyon State Park is always a great place to visit in the fall and this year should be no different.  If you're unable to join us to caravan to the park, just meet us there.  There is one central road that runs through the park so our group should be easy to locate.  And as always, visitors are welcome to attend.  Lunch will be at 11:30AM at a location to be determined later.

FIELD TRIP
Where:
  Tulsa Botanical Gardens
When: 8:00AM on Saturday, April 6th 2019

Those who wish to carpool or travel in caravan should meet at the Will Rogers Garden Center at 8:00AM.  The gardens opens at 10:00AM.  Admission prices are $8.00 for those 13+ and $4.00 for children 3-12.  The Tulsa Botanical Gardens are located at 3900 Tulsa Botanic Drive, Tulsa, OK.   The main thing I hope to see at the gardens is the tulip bloom.  The gardens plant thousands of bulbs each year and it is an amazing sight when they're in bloom.  Be aware that there is a chance that this field trip may get pushed back one week if the tulips haven't bloomed yet.  If you've never visited the Tulsa Botanical Gardens, you should definitely come on the field trip.  Oklahoma weather can be tricky in March so you'll need to watch the weather to see how warmly you need to dress.
